The Barcode Specifications
While most items, like posters and framed prints use an internal tracking system, some specific product types require a barcode directly integrated onto the physical product.

Dimensions: ~ 40px x 40px
Position: Standard on the back, bottom-left corner of the item.

Why this is a Production Requirement
The Data Matrix barcode is not optional; it is a critical requirement of the Papello print process. When your order is placed into production, our automated systems rely entirely on this code for multiple verification steps:
1. Zero-Touch Matching
For items with multiple components (like a notebook with a custom cover and an internal paper block), the barcode ensures the correct cover is bound to the correct paper selection.
2. Quality Control Checkpoints
As your product moves through manufacturing, it passes numerous quality control scanning stations. These scanners check the barcode to confirm that the item has been produced to the correct specifications for that unique Order ID before it advances.
3. Automated Fulfilment & Shipping
The final barcode scan occurs during packing. The system verifies that every item scanned into a parcel belongs to that order. Once the barcode is matched, the corresponding customer shipping label is automatically generated and applied.
